Micropayments at the
speed of inference.
Shunt bridges the Model Context Protocol (MCP) with the Solana Foundation's payment-channels primitive. We decouple API verification from blockchain block times, giving you Web2 latency with Web3 settlement guarantees.
100 calls. Two transactions.
Open a payment channel once. Vouchers are verified off-chain, and only open and settle touch Solana.
Unused funds come back
Settle when you're done. Publishers get what they earned and the rest of your USDC returns to the agent.
Publishers earn on every call
List an API in minutes and get paid in USDC per invocation, with a flat platform fee. No billing system to build.
The internet wasn't
built for agents.
Agents can't open bank accounts, pass CAPTCHAs, or complete KYC. So the moment a task needs a paid API, a human has to step in and the workflow stalls.
Waiting for the first slot
Voucher #1 · verified off-chain
Not to scale in time: the on-chain lane is sped up and the voucher lane is slowed down so you can see both.
The manual setup bottleneck
Autonomous code can't hold a corporate card or pass KYC. A developer has to sign up, pay, and hardcode keys before the agent can make one call.
Repeated for every tool the agent needs
Agent idle · step 5/5The latency and gas tax
An on-chain transaction per request breaks agent loops. A 400 ms Solana slot plus fees on a $0.002 API call makes micro-metered querying impractical.
On-chain: one 400 ms slot per payment, in sequence. Vouchers: warm verification at 0.18 ms each. Tool response time not included.
The publisher risk
API providers can't accept unvetted traffic when chargebacks, stolen cards, and subscription churn are on the table. Fixed plans shut out autonomous spenders.
Publishers get paid per call, with nothing to claw back
Give your agents purchasing power.
Stop proxying every user's API keys through a central backend. Give your agent a wallet and let it find and pay for the exact tools it needs, when it needs them.
Pay per call, keep the rest
Deposit once. Each call signs a voucher for the running total, and unused USDC returns when you settle.
Plug-and-play MCP
Add the Shunt MCP server to your agent, and it can search, call and pay for tools in one loop.
Parallel calls share one channel. Only open and settle touch Solana.
Built for high-frequency calls
Run many tool calls without a transaction for each one.
API keys or cards to manage
on-chain transactions per session
warm payment verification
From first endpoint to first payout.
Publishers list endpoints and set a USDC price per call. Agents find them through the Shunt MCP, pay as they go and settle once. Publishers keep 95% of every call.
Create a service and price its endpoints
Register your API, add each endpoint and set a price per call in USDC. There's no channel code to write and no billing system to build.
Integrate
One config block gives your agent a wallet and a marketplace of tools.
Works with any MCP-compatible agent. Point it at a funded Solana keypair and it can search, call and pay for tools on its own.
- 1
Create an agent wallet
Generate a Solana keypair for your agent and fund it with the USDC it will spend. A dedicated wallet keeps the risk small.
solana-keygen new -o agent-keypair.json - 2
Add the MCP server
Paste the config into your agent's MCP settings and point AGENT_KEYPAIR_PATH at your keypair.
npx -y @shunt-network/mcp - 3
Ask for a tool
Your agent searches the marketplace, opens a payment channel and pays per call. Unused USDC comes back when it settles.

How agents pay, how publishers earn, and where the money sits in between.
Shunt is a marketplace where AI agents discover tools and pay for them per call in USDC on Solana. Publishers list an API or MCP tool and set a price per call. Agents search through the Shunt MCP and pay as they go, with no signups and no API keys.
